Amethyst 

Amethyst has been treasured since ancient Greece, where it was believed to prevent intoxication and encourage clear thinking. Long linked to spirituality and royalty, it is now most commonly mined in Brazil, Uruguay, Zambia, and Madagascar.

Most of the amethyst I use in my bracelets comes form Brazil and Uruguay. It is natural and undyed.

Green Aventurine

Green Aventurine has a long history as a stone of opportunity, carried by merchants and gamblers in many cultures. Its connection to growth and luck continues today, with major sources in India, Brazil, Russia, and Tanzania.

Black Tourmaline

Black Tourmaline has been used for centuries as a protective talisman, especially in African and Indigenous traditions. Known for grounding and energy cleansing, it is primarily mined in Brazil, Africa (notably Namibia), Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.

Carnelian

Carnelian was favoured by ancient Egyptians for its life-force energy and bold colour, often worn by warriors and artisans. Today, it is most commonly sourced from India, Brazil, Madagascar, and Uruguay.

Clear Quartz

Clear Quartz was called “crystal ice” by the ancient Greeks, who believed it was eternally frozen water. Valued worldwide for clarity and amplification, it is abundantly mined in Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, and the Swiss Alps.

Citrine

Citrine has been associated with prosperity since Roman times and is often called the “merchant’s stone.” Natural citrine is relatively rare, with most supplies coming from Brazil, Madagascar, and Spain, often heat-treated from amethyst.

Garnet

Garnet has been worn for protection and strength since the Bronze Age, especially by travellers. Its many varieties are now mined across India, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and the United States.

Hematite

Hematite was used by ancient warriors, including the Romans, for protection and strength in battle. Known for stability and grounding, it is widely mined today in Brazil, Australia, China, and the United States.

Labradorite

Labradorite is tied to Inuit legend, said to hold the frozen fire of the Northern Lights. First discovered in Canada, it is still most famously mined in Labrador (Canada), with additional sources in Madagascar, Finland, and Russia.

Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz has symbolised love and beauty since ancient Egyptian and Roman times, used in rituals and adornment. It is now most commonly mined in Brazil, Madagascar, South Africa, and India.

Sodalite 

Sodalite rose in popularity in the late 19th century and is associated with truth and calm communication. Today, it is primarily mined in Canada, Brazil, Namibia, and Russia.

Tiger’s Eye

Tiger’s Eye was worn by Roman soldiers for courage and protection, its golden bands symbolising strength and balance. Modern supplies mainly come from South Africa, with additional mining in Australia, India, and Namibia.
